Let's think back and learn from this..
that can be generalized into what is (1) the Republican Party , ( the interest of Industry and what of society that ideals must embrace for the flourishing of industry- then, the interest of the people) (2) the Democratic party , which the interest of the people and what of society that ideals must embrace for the flourishing of people, then, the interest of industry)...
Two very powerful institution's of thought "order".. yet, over time both inter-linked into a confusion of it's own.. but, trying to hold to a principal order of agenda .. of being " a single " nation.
one being "a nation" who's front point is to boost (a) the spirit of the people that unifies the people, and bring them together to be industrious, another who's front point is to boost (b) the spirit of industry, that prospers the nation and bring the people along in prosperity. therein, is the confusion.. and it's as dense as it is extreme..
Now.. consider black people.. they were taught "part" of the democratic model.. I say part .. becase during and immediately after slavery.. blacks could not dare think in terms of being industrious, so they thought in terms of people and their right and graces to God.. and most black.. grew up in households, that taught.. " it's easier for a camel to get thru the ey of a needle than a rich man getting to heaven" this was pervasive in the black community and religious teaching.. becase to have taught of wealth was not reasonable nor allowed.. becase we have to remember blacks could not own anything, not even themselves... so this reverberated thru the years... but now.. we have to learn the other part... and that's being industrious and being with the will, and drive to get industry, gain industry and create industry... that was for so many years not an allowable concept.. which means that we did not get the full teaching of the democracy and we were not even in the realm to grasp and get or be a part of the republican model.. becase we could own nothing.. that was instilled for over 375 years and more.. and still to this date.. we get in our common churches the teaching of things other than the industry part..
but that must become a part of the black culture so the next generation can feel confident to embrace it and the confidence to know that it's available to them.. this is a much bigger than a whim comment, but it's something that has to wipe away generations of omission and denial of right unto such.. and it has to become part of the common mindset... if we are to gain the equality in concept .. and embrace it in it's full and expanded principal..
