Kids and School ( Part I) " Don't Embarrass Your Child" - Think about what you are doing and how you do it"

If you are easily frustrated and easily agitated, then you probably don't want to read this!!!
If you realize "kids matter, their feeling matter, and their esteem is important in their ability to communicate in class,
and hold their heads up and feel good about themselves"..

Then maybe you will join in, to help inspire parents to truly consider how they represent themselves, when they interact with the child, and how they present themselves at their Children Schools

Insure your child is professionally neat and well groomed

Some people don't like to read or see anything which talks about the stuff everyone thinks but no one wants to say anything about it.

Well.. I'm saying something about it.. Those who want to chime in feel free, you can agree or disagree, and that is your choice. But I'm saying what I think about the matter, and hope you will too.

First and foremost - go to your local school which your kid attends, and introduce yourself to the staff. Maybe it would even be good if you wrote a note, to let the school know, they can count on you, to support your own kid, and to be supporting of the teachers and the other children at the school.

Why do I say that??

• Number one, Do you know what these teachers go through to become teachers? Do you have a thought about the dedication they have to the profession of teaching? They are there to provide education to "YOUR CHILD", yes, Your child... It is far from a whim, or a flight of fancy, these teachers put in the work to become teachers. If you think its not work, then you go and make the effort to become a teacher, so that you might truly understand what it takes.

• Number two: Our schools provide many products and services and its done at no cost to you, as an individual. It does not matter what your income status is, YOUR CHILD IS AFFORDED AN EDUCATION, this is a blessing.. it is something we should all be thankful for in American, and it is certainly something, which no one should take for granted.

The Great Benefits of The American School

Our Schools provide not only things which many people ignore the value and the benefit of, they provide things people take for granted and never know how great of a gift our system provides for children. If you would like to just think of a few things, which so many people ignore.

1. Yes, the classrooms have desk and chair, they have "air conditioner in the hot months, and heaters in the cold months".
2. They have Cafeteria's which prepare a hot meal in a clean and sanitary environment.
3. The school grounds are trash free, and kept neat.
4. Libraries with a wide assortment of books, Classrooms with not only books, but a wide range of other teaching aids and equipment.
5. Your kids have access to a computer, and they have someone who is there to train them on using it.
6. Grounds are watched by security and teachers, who make a strong effort to provide safety and the comfort of a monitored environment.
7. We have Buses, which are provided, and no parent has to worry about gas money for the bus, nor do they have to worry about paying for a driver.
8. The office is staffed, there are people on campus to address any child being sick, and they can and will contact the parent immediately if there is a issue. The office is staffed, to address any interest you have, and any parent can call and make an appointment to see staff or make arrangement to inquire about matters of their concern.
9. Your Child has an assortment of learning experience, including music, art and physical health education and many things, which some kids rarely get even at home.
10. You have a Principal, who is not only committed, but they have a vested interest not only in your child doing well, but they care to insure their teachers do well, and the grounds and facilities are serviced, as well as the many things, which go into running a school, that many parents never give a second thought about.

Now, this list can go on and name more things than many people will even take the time to consider and some won't even take the time to read about or attend open house to find out.

Today, many parents can come up with more excuses than a kid who does not want to go to school, when it comes time to attend a PTA meeting, some parents don't even know the name of the Principal or the other members of the staff. Now why is that???

DON'T GO TO THE SCHOOL AND EMBARRASS YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILD, WITH A MASS OF LOUD TALKING AND NEGATIVE ATTITUDES.

It's purely amazing how some parents don't even stop to think of how they embarrass their child, when they go to the school un-groomed, and with loud talking and heavy attitudes, and being with the mindset of contempt. As if they don't have the vaguest idea, these Teachers and Staff are there to help your child.

If parents take the time, to insure their children go to school and follow instructions, it would make the Teachers job much easier, why should the teacher have to waste time, teaching YOUR CHILD, basic discipline, Why does the teacher have to waste time, teaching your child "BASIC KINDNESS". .
The teacher can and will administer discipline, and they do so with the kindness as best they can, to insure they provider a level of discipline that get the message to YOUR CHILD, that they have to cooperate, and they have to learn to work with a group environment and respect the group of students.

NOW AS A PARENT, WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP THAT SITUATION??

Many children come to school and they are flat out starved for attention, because they don't get any at home. many children come to school starved for someone to talk to them in KIND TONES OF VOICE, and sadly, some children as so use to being YELLED AT, NEVER TALKED TO AND TREATED AS IF THEY ARE AN OBJECT, BY THEIR PARENTS. until they come to school with a defense mechanism already active, because they are so use to only hearing someone yell at them, or bark a series of "no", "go sit down", "get outta my face" and every other kind of esteem destroying craziness which is what far too many of them get at home.

Some of these kids come from homes where they have far too much, "LOUD TALKING, AND YELLING PARENTS, WHO NEVER HAVE A KIND THING TO SAY, AND NEVER SAY ANYTHING WITH A KIND TONE, UNLESS THEY WANT SOMETHING IN RETURN.

SOME OF THESE CHILDREN COME FROM HOMES WERE THEY ARE TREATED LIKE THEY LIVE IN A CONCENTRATION CAMP, NEGLECTED, NO ONE EVER TAKES TIME TO ACTUALLY TRY AND HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH THEM, AND NO ONE LISTEN TO THEM, OR TAKE THE TIME TO EXPLAIN ANYTHING TO THEM.

All some of these children hear is someone telling them, "Go someplace and play" - Now what the heck does that mean ?? Have your considered the fact, to a child it only means that you are neglecting them and rejecting their presence in your life. If you want them to go an play, then why not direct them to something they can play with, or some specific thing they can get involved with as an act of playing. And when they come to show you what they have done or what they have learn, don't push them away before you even take the time to find out what they are saying.

YES... YOU AS A PARENT WOULD BE STEAMING MAD AND GET BILLIGERENT IF SOMEONE TREATED YOU, THE WAY SOME PARENTS TREAT THEIR KIDS.. yes.. some one you would be bobbing your head, and slinging your fingers, and talking trash a mile a minute, claiming what you don't have to put up with. But..SOME PARENTS, never stop to think, they do exactly that same things to their children, but they can't stand anyone to do it to them.

You want to know why your child does not learn...?? MAYBE YOU ARE CONTRIBUTING THE PROBLEM!!! If you are a parent who continually breaks down the child’s esteem, until they are practically afraid to even attempt to talk, and afraid to ask a questions, and made to feel stupid if they do ask a question. Then what do you think will happen in the classroom.. YES. !!! THEY WILL BE AFRAID TO TALK, THEY WILL HAVE NO CONFIDENCE WHEN THEY ATTEMPT TO SPEAK, AND THEY WILL FEEL WEAK IN THEIR ABILITY TO EVEN PRONOUNCE THE WORDS THEY KNOW IN THEIR MIND TO USE. YOUR CHILD WILL BECOME SLOW IN READING, THEY WILL BECOME SLOW IN THINKING, AND THEY WILL NOT BE CONFIDENT TO ENGAGE "RATIONAL THINKING", BECAUSE THE RESULT OF YOUR ACTIONS WILL SHOW THEY HAVE CONTINUTALLY BEEN BEAT DOWN AT HOME, FOR EVEN EXISTING, AND TREATED MISERABLE IN EVERY WAY THAT DAMAGES THEIR ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE..

IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE PATIENT TO BE A PARENT, THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THAT BEFORE YOU HAD A CHILD, BUT NOW THAT YOU HAVE A CHILD, THEN YOU NEED TO THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU SO MINDLESSLY ABUSE YOUR OWN CHILD. AND TREAT THEM WITH THE KINDNESS YOU WOULD WANT FOR YOURSELF.

Sadly, some of the parents who go to the school raising their voice and yelling like someone who has lost their mind, and huffing and puffing and acting like some bully.. ALL YOU ARE DOING IS DEMONSTRATING JUST WHY YOUR CHILD IS HAVING PROBLEMS.

YOUR ACTIONS TELL A TRUTH THAT YOUR LIPS ARE TRYING TO LIE ABOUT, AS TO HOW, MUCH YOU HAVE FAILED TO LEARN IN YOURSELF, OF HOW TO EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE.

• YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO YELL AT A TEACHER
• YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO DISRESPECT A TEACHER
• YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE RUDE AND INSENSITIVE TO A TEACHER
• AND YOU NEED TO LEARN TO LISTEN TO THE TEACHER AS MUCH AS YOU WANT THE TEACHER TO LISTEN TO YOU
• YOU NEED TO RESPECT THE FACT, THAT EACH TEACHER HAS MORE THAN JUST YOUR STUDENT, TO TEACH.
• YOU SHOULD RESPECT THE FACT, THE TEACHER CANNOT ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO DISRUPT THE CLASS AND DISTRACT OTHER STUDENTS, IT IS NOT FAIR TO THE OTHER STUDENTS.

BEFORE YOU RUN TO THE SCHOOL, CLAIMING YOUR LITTLE CHILD IS AN "ANGEL".. YOU FIRST NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO HOW YOU COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR OWN CHILD, AND DON'T GO TO THE SCHOOL AND EMBARRASS YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILD, WITH A MASS OF LOUD TALKING AND NEGATIVE ATTITUDES.

• IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE AN ISSUE, THEN TAKE THE TIME AND SIT DOWN AND WRITE IT OUT, MAKE AN OUTLINE, IF YOU EXPECT TO ACHIEVE A CONSTRUCTIVE RESULT. IF YOU HAVE NOT THE TIME TO DO SO, THEN YOU PROBABLY HAVE NOT TAKEN THE TIME TO TRULY UNDERSTAND AND INVEST YOURSELF INTO THE SITUATION TO ADDRESS IT WITH THE FULL CIRCLE OF RESPECT.

1. DON’T!!!!! LET ME REPEAT!!! Don't go to the school in your "hot pants',
   
   and your butt high dresses,
   
   
   
   or with your breast hanging out as if you are in a night club.
   
   Go there and respect the fact, this is a school, and dress yourself with a respectful attire.
2. If you want to go there and talk to the teacher, make sure you wear a clean change of clothes, and look neat and presentable. There is absolutely no reason that you should not prepare yourself, if you "PLAN" to go to the schools to conduct any kind of activity.

YOUNG MEN...

1. DON'T GO TO THE SCHOOL TO SEE YOUR CHILD, OR CONDUCT ANY BUSINESS WITH A "DO RAG" ON YOUR HEAD, AND YOUR PANTS HANING DOWN, AND LOOKING LIKE YOU'VE LOST YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF WHERE YOU ARE.
2. , THIS IS A SCHOOL; IT IS A PLACE WHERE YOUNG CHILDREN ARE BEING EDUCATED. NOT ALL PARENTS NEED YOU LOOKING LIKE SOEMTHING; THEY DON'T EVEN LET THE CHILDREN WEAR TO SCHOOL. YOU ARE NOT IMPRESSING ANYONE OF ANYTHING, OTHER THAN THE FACT, THAT YOU DON'T EVEN RESPECT THE INSTITUTION OF SCHOOL, TO PREPARE YOURSELF TO PRESENT YOURSELF IN A BUSINESS CASUAL RESPECTFUL PRESENTATION.
3. THIS IS NOT A 'HIP HOP' CLUB ENVIORNMENT, IT IS A SCHOOL.
4. WHEN YOU WALK, WALK LIKE A MAN, "AT LEAST WHILE YOU ARE ON CAMPUS", UNLESS YOU HAVE A NATURAL "LIMP, BECAUSE OF A PHYSICAL AILMENT OR SOME MEDICAL MATTER, DON'T GO UP WITH THAT 'BROKE DOWN, BOUNCE, AS IF YOU THINK THIS IS SOME "RUNWAY, TO PRETNED TO BE COOL'.
5. IF YOUR CHILD IS BEING TAUGHT AT THE SCHOOL.. RESPECT THE TEACHERS, THEY ARE NOT THERE FOR YOU TO COME TO THE SCHOOL, TRYING TO "HIT ON THEM', THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR MACHO, WOMAN CHASING INTENTIONS. THEY HAVE A POSITION OF "INTEGRITY', AND THEY DON'T NEED YOU, TO INSULT IT, WITH YOUR ATTEMPTS TO TRYING TO "HIT ON THEM".
6. PRESENT YOURSELF AS A MAN, AND RESPECT YOURSELF AS SOMEONE, WHO HAS A SINCERE INTERST IN YOUR CHILD AND THEIR EDUCATION, AND PRESENT TO THE SCHOOL AND ITS STAFF, THAT YOU ARE SOMEONE WHOM THEY CAN COUN'T ON TO HELP WITH ANY ISSUE THAT ARISES WHICH INVOLVES YOUR CHILD.

IF YOU CAN'T DO THAT.. THEN MAYBE YOUR SHOULD GET AN "ADULT TO GO WITH YOU, WHO CAN KEEP YOU IN CHECK". AND LET THE ADULT DO THE TALKING, BECAUSE YOUR SILENCE JUST MAY GAIN YOU RESPECT, WHICH YOUR "SLANG TALKING" WILL SURELY DESTROY.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO GET UPSET AND GET ANGRY.. THEN IF THAT IS YOUR ATTITUDE, THEN GO SOME PLACE AND YELL AT A TREE IN THE PARK, AND GET YOUR FRUSTRATIONS OUT.. AND THEN SIT DOWN SOME PLACE AND THINK... YOU JUST MIGHT BE GLAD YOU DID, BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING THAT INSULTS YOUR OWN INTEGRITY.

TALKING...

IF YOUR CHILD IS GOING TO SCHOOL TO LEARN NEW WORDS, LEARN HOW TO SPEAK NEW WORDS, AND LEARN HOW TO SPELL NEW WORDS,
Don't you think you can be a tremendous help, if you also practice that same thing at home. Don’t make your child feel uncomfortable, because they speak words correctly, just because you want to butcher words at home.

Think about what you say, and how you say it, AT HOME, because if you destroy the language at home, you simply defeat the education which is being taught in the school of how to speak words, and how to utilize words.

Don't make life difficult for your child.. give them a full opportunity, to grow, learn and develop where they can function any place in the world and do so with quality confidence and performance as an individual.

I give much regard to those who are Teachers. I wish I had the credentials to be one, but I don't. Yet that does not stop me from thinking about the condition and the process within Schools and the need to provide teachers what they need. to be better in what they aspire to do.

We need a love within teaching and a passion within students for learning, to be the passion which drives.......

FIRST AND FOREMOST-
WHEN TEACHERS ARE SELECTED, IF YOU TRUST THEIR ABILITY TO HIRE THEM,
THEN TRUST THEM TO TEACH.

GIVE THEM THE ABILITY TO IMPROVE HOW THEY APPROACH THEIR PROCESS OF TEACHING.

• Provide TEACHER'S Assistants - It's the simplest thing to do in the world, We have countless college Junior and Senior level students, who can be given college credits to be assigned to schools for 1-2 semesters, they get real world experience in how educational processes are engaged, and they learn by doing. but it affords, the teacher, the help needed to interact with students. This delusion that a teacher can just present the information, and the kid will grasp it .. Does not work, and many students are left behind in the process. some kids need interaction.
• We as a system - handicap the youth, with the current process- it has continually shown to not meet the measure of improved learning, and yet.. the continual beating a dead horse mentality of how it is approached, is not only pathetic, but it is evident the system itself is not learning.
• More young people drop out from pure boredom, from classrooms void of interactivity and lack of sufficient assistance within engaging their minds.
• It's not even logical to put a teacher in a class of 30, and expect that within 1 hr, they can effectively teach. Even on jobs with adults, Union leads, are given a set amount of people and when it exceeds that number, they have to designate an additional lead. How can we be so callous with the most important job there is, which is teaching, to not afford these people who have educated themselves with efforts to become a teacher, and then handicap them with unreal expectations, to follow a pressure cooker script process.
• Teacher themselves have personal goals, they want to see results from their efforts, they are not interested in being baby sitters reading a unsatisfying story. they became teachers so they could teach and delight in their students learning.

Stop and look at the number of people, who have abandoned teaching, not because they did not love to teach, they have a passion for it, yet, they simply could not function to the level they desired, when our system is simple and fundamentally broken. and then confine them to processes that are non productive, and does not function to inspire and motivate nor give them mental and functional room to actually engage teaching.

Simple Logic - Kids have questions, kids need understanding, and they need interaction.

Force feeding as if shoveling script down their throats, simply does not work, information needs to be chewed and its needs digesting,

The matter is not simply teaching them to remember "stuff" - but teaching them how to think, and how to use their ability to reason and rationalize. They want to know how information relates within life, how does it function to connect the dots in living.

Our system fails because it does not stress, the emphasis on learning how to think. The result of this failure shows in our society, people today stress out when it is time to think. and we go forth not understanding the value within learning how to think. Learning values and principles, improves the character of the human being, it opens up their minds to want to investigate, and the thirst to learn more is then charged up within the minds of the human being.

helping hand

We have a summer -- which is leading us unto a new school year. Shall we bring new methods, and new ideas, or will we plod along the course of yesterday and hope it engages the future of tomorrows. Shall we ignore change, and loose awareness unto what changes, and continue to seek to rebuild yesterday, while today, leads us into tomorrows. and time simply finds us.. lagging behind, as the world move ahead.

Computers are now with us for many years,

yet it has not become the making of the digital boards, as being a counterpart, with the chalk boards in the classrooms, nor has the interactivity of the web base sharing of information become a mainstay, as the students desktop. And we languish in a process of yesterday, and wonder why the children of today, have become to fall to the 25th status of modern day educational equation among world nations.

We stake claim to be the greatest country, and yet. we see and we know, our processes are of yesterday, denying us a passport into tomorrow.

Parents buying young people gadgets for games, and gadgets for talking but so many have no idea what a computer can provide, they have the latest tennis shoes, but no computer with access to educational investigations. they have a monthly cell phone bill, but no money to buy a book, or a table to write or draw. the latest CD on sale on the corner, yet a tattered uniform, with no hair bow, or clean socks to be found.

The poorest neighborhoods, with the most expensive marketing hooks, people caught like fish, with a rubber lure, yet, children, unlearned and parents void of the importance of gaining an education for their child. Some children have never ventured beyond the confines of their neighborhood, to know there is a vast world which remains unknown to them. Parents making choices to be unaware of their own child's lack of educational involvement, Parents with refrigerator with cold beer, but there is not a bookshelf in the house, nor a tablet on a table. Countless dollars spent on the weekend party, but not a dime for a educational tool, and the children cannot even find a pencil within the house. The future of such children are sold away into the madhouse circus of the ghetto antic's, and parents unaware why their little Johnny can't read, and their little Sarah can't count - wondering how many more days she has to go without a proper dinner or a bath before bed.
