Building Dreams

Challenges are always many, and they have many internal components, as well as many collateral components. There are no sure fire answers, the best laid plans, are just what they are - "Plans', they deal with probability factors, and any factor must alway be aware to know, that life itself is unpredictable, no matter how well plans are laid. and yet much is denied by the plan, but what is over-look , that is of most importance, is the plans ability to be modified, and to act on contingencies, and have an objective still in view and pursuit. The greatest Empires of the world, as well as the greatest business in the world, have found that -plans are plans- and it still must be able to modify and find and act on contingencies. If we gather that point and fact of reality, We may be able to then, belives in something, and have faith in our ability to be adaptable in the process, and the dare to engage contingencies when the challenges mandates the needs to do so. This life is about trial and error, pursuit and discovery, research and re-learning, modifying and adapting to changes,- and the ups and downs of set back mixed with progress. What wins is the same thing that made the reality of material realism and our enviornments -"thoughts- which became "Ideas" that shaped plans" into the Building of Ideas - and nothing build ever in this life, has not undergone modifications and engaged contingencies in and thru its process. Building Ideas is work - it becomes some of the most challenging work in the world, because it requires the attention to be alert, to many things, and the ability to factor multiple things in the same process. What is an unfortunate in a society that has so weak of belief in things, and has so little faith in what can be, and have learned to be more fearful about hope, than to embrace the joys that are hidden within being hopeful. Why are we so, of so little faith in anything- we defeathing things without ever trying, and fall prey in our minds, filling them with doubts, and envisions of despair.

Far too often, the over all society has set up system in it's perceptions, that deny more than it supports, it throws apprehension to be a net which becomes more a binding, than to allow belief in things to be forthcoming. Resulting in our society becoming non inspired, and pushing despair and the words and ways of defeat more than it pushes forth to Build Ideas.

It's almost at time like a city that lost the sense of hope, and seeks reasons to deny anything it does not want to understand, and has a beat down, sarcasm push down, and defeatist overtone. yet.. unaware and seeming not to care to be aware- those things don't make a progressive environment, only a despaired one, that thrives and fights itself with desperation as the driving force, more than the passion to create a idea and build a dream.

People in position of power, claim themselves powerless, and therefore does not take the dare to find their own greatness, and the result is nothing is of and in the leadership that pushes the people forward with hope and passion for change and growth.

In some ways, I wish I'd known this before moving here, but it was not possible to know without living here - even people speak openly saying if one expects to create something, or build an ideas, they best leave the area, and they may have a chance. I find that such a sad thought, and it reverberates far too deeply, in the culture of the city. I saw it uttered about the Strand, the great disdain to support it's survival, people have no interest to support it or other things, they have no interest to support the Opera, and any thing that can build cultural growth. the massive fight that took place concerning the YWCA, which is a institution designed to help people, and it turned into a nasty fight, even choosing a school superintendent became a year long mess, when the world is full of educated people, capable of doing the jobs, even full of people who have new ideas and new methods to bring in the supervising of the systems education, but it took the fullness of a year to fill the vacancy. Now what kind of message does that truly send to the young people, when they go to school for a year, void of a permanent superintendent, finally they filled the slot .

Everything, in the stimulus plan, meets nothing but a lot of mindset.. filled with hateful and violent emotions about anything which they think may help anyone to any degree. Maybe they should simply rename the area "Defeat along the River Banks" , maybe people will be happier, that its name reflect the attitudes. maybe that will inspire people - who knows what it will take ???

If it's not basketball, football, soccer or hockey, then the interest is nearly a smoke trails from what may have once been a flame. over and over and over, people speak of what won't work, and what the people will not support- and the question is, then how do people expect to grow, or for the city and its people to prosper.

What could have possible made people so filled with diminished hope.. yet, they fill Churches all across the city Sunday after Sunday, and preach defeat all week. It's the greatest hiprocracy imaginable, and it seems to reverberate as common acceptance of the situation. How can this be- countless people who can quote ever scripture in the bible, and have a ready to go scripture to any comment made in a conversation- but no belief in doing and reaching to make ideas become reality. This nature of mindset is not even what many call and speak to say about America- as being a can do nation, or a nation of innovators- if that is true - Why is it lacking in this city and region?

Not even do we see college groups with prominent programs that are well known in the community of city, We have countless programs that are administrative designs, that have great structure but no function. How can this continue to be such a lackluster situation.

Our Downtown is simply a ghost town on weekends, and even tumble weeds could move along the streets unimpeded during the week. what happen to the spirit of life and the creating of business, and motivation of enterprising people.

What does it take to inspire the building of ideas ?
