there really never was "good ole days" ... it was mostly days people look ""back upon"" .. of which they had or may have had lesser responsibility and maybe thought in less over all viewpoints.. but the same challenge and turmoil existed..
our biggest hurdle is people and all people being and treated and regarded in a mindset of " equality" as a person.. human being and individual..
but so much of our thoughts about people now days is tied to "economic assessments.. We are such a material society .. that we go around basing people relationship upon .. " what one has and what they can buy and what they earn and anything that has a connection to finances"
that's the world we live in..
We are but one region that among the many of the US.. that have churches and many many many church going people.. and each Sunday.. it's all about the human element and all the things of
the seven holy virtues are:
* Chastity (Latin, castitas) (purity, opposes lust, Latin luxuria) —

* Diligence (Latin, industria) (ethics, opposes sloth, Latin acedia) —

* Patience (Latin, patientia) (peace, opposes wrath, Latin ira) —

* Kindness (Latin, humanitas) (satisfaction, opposes envy, Latin invidia) —

On Monday and for many as early as Sunday evening.. it becomes the Seven deadly sins.. until sunday morning again.. for the standard 45 minute sermon.. and back to the grind of working hard to make sure they don't miss not one of the deadly sins and then push the envelope on each one to become the best at being .. lustful, a glutton, greed filled, being with a full natured of sloth, having and expressing wrath about any and all, envious that other's even live, and with a foolish pride that supports the cycle of this madness.
yes.. the grasp is desperate to behold the Seven deadly sins..
Lust
Gluttony
Greed
Sloth
Wrath
Envy
Pride
In Proverbs 6:16 – 19, it is stated that "(16) These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:"
* A proud look,
* a lying tongue,
* and hands that shed innocent blood,
* A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
* feet that be swift in running to mischief,
* A false witness that speaketh lies,
* and he that soweth discord among brethren.
this is so much of the sad cycle of society that.. it's now wonder in this site as surely in many other's on the web.. it's all about put down comment, blame and feeling one's self to be above or better than others, and condemning and criticizing,.
rather than **enlighten, become aware of and indulge understanding.. those things are foreign concepts to many.. and many cling too much to a false pride of being superior and above this or that, and get that "better than mindset" about anything and everything and and I'm right because I'm white, yet take no responsibility for their mind in any way except what supports the haughtiness of a falsely propped up pride. and it's a sadder reality when people can't see the reflection of themselves.. then they never progress beyond such.. nor will they progress beyond such.. and the cycle continues.
it's amazing God knew all this before man was even man.. and people still fail to believe and think they can outsmart a life that God knew all this in the design of man.. and what's amazing he's provided us with the links to the wisdom that allow us to change and become better.. but .. people cling more to the seven deadly sins than to anything else imaginable and .. think that 2 hrs on Sunday redeems them to go back to the same cycle shortly after the Sunday service is over.
